As an entrepreneur for more than a decade, a politician having contested for Kampala Lord Mayorship and realizing there were not enough women to hold her hand, She decided to dedicate her life to empowering and supporting women in Africa to discover their potential, be heard, and occupy political seats in their communities
Prior to joining TILOA, Kayanja had lived in the UK for three decades and had a dream of serving her country Uganda. She believes every move she made in the last three decades spent in the UK was in preparation for this moment to make a change. Currently, she is Head of Exports Targeted - STI at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Office of the President. She was a candidate for Kampala Lord Mayorship 2021. Ms. Kayanja who strongly believes in democracy was a strategist for candidates running up and down heading the logistics of President Hon Norbert Mao’s Presidential campaign.
She is the owner and managing director at BeaKay Limited a company registered in England promoting East Africa to Europe and beyond through commercial diplomacy. Ms. Kayanja served as Senior Executive Coordinator for Linde Group as well as an IT Specialist for Microsoft Reading in the United Kingdom. She is a charity - contributor at St. John’s Hospice a charity that looks after the terminally ill young children and the elderly, which she is very passionate about. A supporter of those women whose voices are never heard. Ms. Kayanja grew up in Kampala and attended Trinity College Nabbingo and Makerere High School before joining the University of Westminster London. She lives in Kampala and London
